I don't want to discourage you, but you are swimming upstream when it comes to medications. I worked on it for awhile, and got a few drugs to show up. But the same process would have to be performed for each and every drug that one wants on one's formulary.

This is then reviewed by a pharmacist. And if everything is OK, then the drug is dispensed. So when I order a drug in CPRS, it shows the drug order as "pending". Pending a pharmacists review that will never happen. The CMS VistA office is supposed to change the code such that this pharmacist review step is bypassed.
