Samuel, there are several ways to assign a patient to a ward and a bed, but
the patient must be admitted first so use the "Admit a Patient" option in
VistA.

In that option you will be prompted for a ward and a bed.

You can later "Transfer" him/her to another ward and bed if you wish.

All of these options are found in the Bed Control Menu.
