I am sorry to hear that. My impression of it is that someone went to a great deal of effort to put in a large amount of semi-realistic demonstration data. This would seem to make it by far the most interesting and potentially useful of the distributions for those of us wanting to set up demonstration sites to help develop a deep understanding of the software and new functionality outside of the VA. >Log in as user `1000000038 (that is 8 >zeros), start Taskman ( D ^ZTMB) and the old broker (D STRT^XWBTCP([port])) >and go on your home network. There are about 10,000 extra routines in it, Very interesting. What routines are those? I used a shell command like the following ( ls $vista_home/r| wc -l ) to see how many routines are in my test sites for SemiVivA0.4 and VADemo0.1. The results were 21,879 and 33,859 respectively, confirming that there is a difference of over 10,000 routines. There is also a significant discrepancy on both systems with the number of entries (21,391 and 18,568 respectively) in the ROUTINE file (#9.8). Looking at a few of the routines from VADemo0.1 not present in SemiVivA0.4, I see that some, such as XU8P125 and XU8P132 are associated with patches. >many menu options flat out don't work, etc. It is nice to use as a reference >because sometimes the configuration element will help you figure out how to >make things work, but almost as often, it won't work for other things. --------------------------------------- Jim Self Systems Architect, Lead Developer VMTH Computer Services, UC Davis (http://www.vmth.ucdavis.edu/us/jaself) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list Hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
