Mark;

   Some of the WorldVistA team were in Geneva for the last WSIS and we have had discussions with the Tunisians, but there was not enough support to get some of us to Tunis this time.  We really wanted to make it to Tunisia for the WSIS and make connections for parallel translation of VistA into as many languages as we could.  We have generated some code to extrat the literal English into the DIALOG file and then generate instrumented code to use the DIALOG file.  The phrases in the DIALOG file have been split out into 500 spread sheets of 300 phrases each so that the translation might be done in parallel.  It looks like that is not going to happen this time around.  There needs to be some more time to build the additional tools that are needed to complete this suite that turns VistA into a truely international package.

   Bythe way, the process we created that populates the DIALOG file expanded the entries in the DIALOG file from 1900 to over 150,000 entries in less than an hour for the whole VistA package, some 30,000 routines.

I am not sure if anyone is interested in this.    But perhaps sending the Vista CD
with him would be useful?
