I had the same thought, and frankly find it rather unfortunate. Maybe Bhaskar's little announcement was technically inappropriate, but I'm a programmer and I take pride in my work (even if little of what I do sees the light of day here) and I can't really fault Bhaskar for doing so, either. Frankly, instead of placing the burden on the vendors, I think we (on Hardhats) need to do a better job of not focusing overly much on one particular implementation and of promoting open technology. (I was going to say "standards", but I think it's already clear that no one really wants to undertake a significant revision of the language standard.)
