[jlz] I have for some time thought that a way forward may be available
by simply wrapping DHCP's roll-and-scroll menus in a prettier shell,
perhaps with bells and whistles available on the same screen. The

made more attractive to decision makers who don't know what they are
talking about when the reject the simpler interface on looks alone.

Along this line, I have thought that it would be relatively easy to
query the OPTION file and turn it into cascading menus in a GUI
environment. Then, when one option is selected, a terminal window
could appear (anchored in a pretty GUI box) to perform the actual
roll-and-scroll part of VistA. It would be a half-breed for sure, but
wouldn't take a herculean effort to achieve.
