Maybe. I did some asking on another forum & found out any HDD will do. Most often a portable hdd works best - one you might use for backup. USB 3 is preferred, 2 works. Seems most 7200 RPM drives need ext power 5400 not so much. I guess 5400 RPM is fast enough to take advantage of USB 3. Either way, it's fast enough for the XBone.
