I appreciate this and will look into it but I still don't understand my problem.

I have been using Power Strip for a couple years now to connect my PC
to a TV, first using a VGA to Component adapter then using a direct
VGA to VGA connection.  The PC is already set to output the correct
resolution for the TV - it is 720p native and I even have most of the
underscan/overscan fixed.  I took the exact setup that was working
over the VGA connection and switched the cables to DVI.

Really weird.  What irks me the most is that that model of Mitsubishi
TV has the WORST menu and setup system that I have ever seen in my
life.  The "On Command" junk looks to me like an engineers attempt to
dumb it down for the common user and suceeding in making it harder.

Thanks for the input so far guys, I will have to go back and
investigate a little further.
