His argument is it's a backdoor to allow MS to run code on your computer when you visit their webpage, even if the browser is completely locked down. I think it's a very reasonable argument, and seems to fit with MS's practices. Rather than fixing bugs and security problems, they spend time and money on poorly thought out copyprotection.
