I considered switching to Valvoline Maxlife when my old '93 Explorer hit 80k
miles, but I ended up just going full synthetic. My '05 Explorer calls for
5W-20, and comes from the factory with a synthetic blend. I'm switching to
full synthetic in it once I get to my next change interval. (21k miles)
I've seen first hand how much better gas/diesel engines do with
synthetic...no way I'd use anything else anymore.
Still, a good deal for those that haven't yet converted. :)
