Why don't you provide (temp) diff mouse and keyboard if they are USB, and if
the printer is usb/parallel run it parallel. There is also a switch in the
registry that lets u alter the frequency that the usb ports are sampled. Set
it to an abnormally high number and see it that at least changes or alters
the onset of the problems.

What's AVR?  I'm using a SmartUPS 1000Net.  The line power LED blinks 
like crazy regularly, but connecting the computer to the UPS doesn't 
solve the problem.
