I think this is a big mistake. Now they are competing with two companies that have traditionally been winning. Plus they lose NVidia's chipset support. I can see NVidia dropping AMD (which sucks for those of use with their crappy NForce chipset drivers) and focussing completely on Intel. Imagine what NVidia could do if they turned their full attention to Intel's chipset. That plus the Core 2 is going to put AMD in a bind, I think.
