Possibly OTT for what you are looking for, but I really like the Archos devices. I have an AV500-100gig. It was the only thing out there at the time that I could get all my music onto and have room for it to grow (950 albums and counting). They have some very interesting features in their AVx04 (4th generation) line, although I think they are all bigger than iPods and Zens.
