However, it is a small difference for me. I'm not that thrifty. For system drives I always buy the fastest Raptor available. For storage, I buy a drive a year, and I always buy the biggest fastest drive available, within reason, of course. This drive started out on Newegg at about $400, and while it may continue to go down, it is at a good price now. And I need to replace a 300GB Enterprise Maxtor this week.
