Well, just to be painfully clear, SIIG <> Silicon Image, but SIIG does tend
to use Silicon Image ICs.

Yes, SIIG = Silicon Graphics...

That card does not have Raid 5, but other than that should work OK.....

Silicon Image == SIIG?  Sorry to ask so many questions, I just want to make
sure I get the right thing.  How about this one?

Where did you find these $19.99 controllers? Do you know if they would work
with NASLite or FreeNAS?

Eh, their Ultra100 and Ultra133 controllers were okay. At least they
worked in pairs ;)

The generic Silicon Image SATA controllers are great though - shoved
in 4x 4-port
controllers ($19.99 cheapie generics) and they seem to be running
just fine together.
Great, cheap, effective solution for JBOD.
