Pretty pitiful. Also the higher end 1GB part, the XTX, appears to be

Not to stick up for the red, but the 8600 and 8500 kind of blows chunks too.
Didn't stop me from jumping on an XFX 8500GT from Buy.com though ($70
after Google Checkout).
The full H.264 acceleration is pretty amazing and IINM its vid
acceleration functions is quite a bit
better than ATi cards < $100 (X1300 and X1600).
