[H] image contrast ratio

[Winterlight]

I am looking at two Dell Monitors ,

UltraSharp 3007WFP
UltraSharp 3008WFP
The only difference I can find is one has a image contrast ratio of 
1000:1 and the other of 3000:1
Is this a big a deal as the price difference suggests?
