OK, perhaps I will toss my original syringe of AS; and christen my
replacement syringe of the very same compound.................. LOL!
I can report that, over the years, I have gotten better, more consistent
results, and, better running machines using AS. As opposed to the old
White Goop we used to use. And no, I did test all the tape, heat pads, and
some really strange Gray Goop also. All snake oil. So far, AS is still my
choice.
I am glad to know that AS is still held in high regard with builders that
build more systems than I do. IIRC, I did learn about AS via the
Collective........... :)

Now, I move back to the Intel 'E-series' and notice that Arctic Silver is
now Arctic Silver 5.
Is this AS5 really any better than the older stuff I still have lots of?
