Hey guys, so I'm finally upgrading my 4+ yr old system: 3.4Ghz P4 with 2GB RAM and 2 10k RPM SATA WD Raptors. The vid card is an ATI Radeon X800XT and I just got an ATI Radeon 4830 for ~$90 from Newegg (the Sapphire one) and am planning on plugging it into the one PCI x16 slot that the X800 currently occupies.
So what are some readily available tools/programs I can benchmark the system with so I can compare perf before and after the upgrade? Also, I want to be able to compare my results to similar reviews online for the 4830, so I can get an idea of how much (if any) my CPU is limiting me. I figured worst case if my CPU is really killing me, I OC the 4830s to 4850+ speed (most places are able to do this no problem) and go Crossfire with another 4830 oc'ed and get damn good graphics perf for under $200!
