Thanks for the link. I have not heard from the victims since
yesterday. Not sure what they've done. Since the site they were at
doesn't serve up malware, but does have big misdirecting buttons
(softpedia), they might not have real malware but just someone else's
toolbar.

It's been a long time since I had to seek out a solution for a
malware infection. It's no me but it's my friend's wife who now has
the Mixi.dj toolbar. They're down in Florida, so tech support on
something like this from CT is not easy. I've done some searching,
but it seems like every site I get to is pushing their own programs
to remove it and the hyperbole about how bac it is, is amazing! Has
anyone encountered this or is there a known-good site with
instructions? I don't trust any of the programs they're pushing.
