I tried these updates but they fail to fix the problem. Security updates install but upon restart always fail to reconfigure. Thanks though for the suggestions.

I would appreciate your thoughts about Microsoft Support.
The last group of 16 Win7 updates contained 7 security updates for Windows
7 for x64-based systems:
KB2862335
KB2864058
KB2864202
KB2868038
KB2876284
KB2883150
KB2884256
I couldn't install these and tried Microsoft fix it and Windows Update
Automatic Troubleshooter to no avail.
The remaining updates had installed once I selected just them.

I called Microsoft Technical support and was connected to 3 techs in India
who did remote sessions, as I was passed to the next level of support. They
all went through the same procedure as I did. Nothing worked. Finally the
last one just hid the updates and said "*it is fixed.*'

Now I could have done the same thing myself, but didn't, thinking these
updates are labeled important so why try to install them. There must be a
reason for them to exist. Right?

Did anyone have problems installing these particular ones? or does my
system have some missing system files? Did my CC Cleaner erase something
important?
As far as I can tell I have no problems with the system at all. It works
fine.
I regularly run MalwareBytes and run Security Essentials anti-virus.

What do you think of just hiding troublesome updates as a solution?

Thanks
Alden
