Agreed, I used an older Seasonic that had fan noise as an RMA test case. It wasn't really worth even bothering with a return, but I did so anyway. The replacement came fast but had some coil whine at low load. They sent out another unit immediately and didn't require the first replacement to be returned. I'd call the service excellent.
Seasonic powers all of my important non-rackmount systems. I recommend, in order, Platinum, X-series, and S12G. I wouldn't bother with anything less than 80Plus Gold. -----Original Message----- From: Hardware [mailto:hardware-boun...@lists.hardwaregroup.com] On Behalf Of FORC5 Sent: Wednesday, January 7, 2015 8:07 PM To: hardw...@lists.hardwaregroup.com Subject: Re: [H] Seasonic I use and recommend them, have no empirical data but I did have to RMA one once and they handled the return very well. How a company handles returns is important, the one I returned pretty much was a premature failure. fp At 01:21 PM 1/7/2015, Thane Sherrington Poked the stick with: >Am I right in remembering the Seasonic power supplies are good?
