I own an old unused computer with Windows 8 PRO Upgrade Retail with
Media Center. I purchased PRO from Newegg back in 2013 and
installed/upgraded to media center after I had PRO running. In 2013
you could install Media Center for $15. So now I have a working OS
with Windows 8 PRO Media Center Key.
I also own another computer a micro PC for my TV with Windows 8 PRO
Retail installed. I bought that OS directly from MS back in 2012
during their 40 dollar Win 8 promotion and recently installed it to
my LIVA. Unfortunately Windows 8 Pro Media Center is no longer
available for purchase anywhere.
I would like to deactivate the unused computer with Windows 8 PRO
Upgrade Retail with Media Center... and then MOVE the key number to
the computer with Windows 8 PRO Retail in order to have MEDIA CENTER
on that computer. Can this be done? If I can't just move the key I
would be willing to just install a Windows something and then
upgrade to Windows 8 PRO Upgrade Retail with Media Center. It is a
upgrade version NOT OEM so it should be able to move from one
computer to another..right. How should I go about this. Thanks
