My current workstation is now 11 years old running windows 10. It has been reliable and works great but I am thinking maybe it is time to build a new one and very probably my last one. Windows 10 end of life is looming and more importantly I want ECC Ram. I had a DIMM go bad and wreak havoc with my data even though I have a very robust backup schedule. I know little to nothing about contemporary setups however I have come up with this. I know I don't need this much RAM or CPU power but a couple of hundred dollars either way doesn't matter to me so why not get the best now. 128GB Crucial ddr5 ECC I have a pretty new 750 watt Seasonic PS The video card I have no idea about. Currently have a 1070. I realize the CPU has video card support and I intend to use it along with another video card for separate monitors that hold what is on the screen once monitor powers down.
