My experience with laptop batteries has been such that the
manufacturer battery has lasted me many years. I have a 97 Dell
latitude, that I use a surveillance monitor, that still has the
original battery, and it is still capable of working for a couple of
hours. On the other hand, if I buy a third party replacement battery,
they barely last a year, and quickly loose power over the course of
the year. In fact, I purchased two batteries last year that were both
defective out of the box. So I have little faith in third party
sellers. Can anybody recommend a vendor that sells a decent laptop
battery replacement?
