You realize that black crap is silver oxide? Use the silver cleaner again and then put the silver in a case that has no oxygen in it or coat the silver with something so oxygen can't reach it. Or be like most people and use silver cleaner every once and awhile.
(Silver cleaner won't last as long as say tooth paste at cleaning silver but then silver cleaner works by reversing the oxidation of the silver while tooth paste scrubs off the silver oxide so you will slowly lose silver over time.)
