It will "sort of" work. I'm doing the same thing, and I switch back and forth between Excel 2003 and 2010 with no problems, but Word seems to have issues (trying to reinstall from time to time when I switch from one to the other, for instance). If you run Excel 2K3 and 2010 at the same time, the second one you open will complain that personal.wks (the spreadsheet with your macros) in in use and will load it as read-only. I can't comment about Access or Powerpoint, as I only use the 2K3 versions, though both are installed.
