I just talked to my wife and she said that her Mac has trouble connecting. The problem is that when she opens the MacBook pro lid it doesn't auto connect to the wireless. She had to manually select it.
Once she does that it works just fine. Since I use a pc it gives me no problems. Also my iPhone isn't exhibiting any issues whatsoever. I think it may be just localized to MacBooks. I might downgrade too. Wife know noes the cause of the problem and the nagging has begun.
