Can anyone remind me WHEN the flooding in Thailand took place?
Like when the Seagate plant went down?
I just rcvd my new Seagate 'Constellation' 500GB drives (4). The label
shows a date of Mfg of 04/2012, a date code of 12405, and, a site code
of KRATSG (which I've not researched yet at Seagate.com......... :(
The serial #'s are all in the '9aa1R' series; ending as GAF, GCJ, J6D,
and KPS.
So, they are all pretty close together, I think. All are f/w SN12.
I suppose I could quibble with Newegg HD packaging. Looks like someone
sliced
a 4 drive set out of a Styrofoam bulk shipping container. Then
bubble-wrapped this
'slice' and boxed it with some packing paper. No, I did not expect
retail packaging.
Also, the 4 drives are naked inside the usual (modern?) plastic HD
trays/cartons.
