FORC5,
I do know of the 'cable' you offer. I will give it a look/see anyway.
NO! I am not trying to 'combine' both the mouse and kbd PS/2 plugs
to USB.

Damn! Why do us 'old' guys run into this dilemma? Must be because
we never throw old 'working' stuff out!.........Guilty!

Last Thought:
(Well, our 'old' m/b's still use PS/2 ports for mouse/kbd! Why? Well,
because our 'old' KVM switches ONLY accept PS/2. That is my
excuse! And, I stick to it!)

I have a cable I bough years ago that goes USB to both ps2 connectors so I can run customer boxes thru my KFM. Works on systems with no ps2 connectors.

Has anyone seen a source for a small adapter cable that has a PS/2 male plug
on one end and a USB(2) flat female connector on the other end?

I think my old SwitchView KVM box's main PS/2 input mouse connector may be getting weak mechanically. For present mouse use I just use the green USB/PS/2 adapter that MS sends with their mice. I think that the mechanical stress of this green adapter, AND, the cable to the mouse is 'tweaking' this port to frequent
dis-connections!

I really would like to avoid tearing the KVM box apart to try and replace the PS/2 female mouse connector (port). I doubt that SwitchView even has any parts
anyway............... :(

If a pre-made adapter cable does not exist, I suppose I could perhaps fabricate
one; IF, I don't have to worry about 'special' signal/voltage levels.

Any help is appreciated.
