Agreed - sorry. Should have added that I found out his cable service was taking SD and upscaling it and calling it HD. In the same vein, maybe you've just had a bad LTE experience because the carrier implementation was crappy. Part of the problem with 4G is the lack of a definition about what it means from a speed standpoint. In the US, Verizon's 4G network not only has a lot more coverage than AT&T but functional speeds are a lot better. And AT&T has a lot less bandwidth to work with, so in areas with a lot users (say San Fran) it's a much worse experience than elsewhere where the density of users isn't as high.
