I was not using AHCI in my BIOS until I put in a new SSD as a boot drive. I did a clean install of the OS with AHCI turned on.
I could rip a CD in just a minute or so. Now it will rip one song in about 5-10 seconds, but then there is a long pause before it starts ripping the next song. So a whole CD takes 5-10 minutes to rip. I am using WMP to perform the ripping on Win 7-64. Any ideas as to what the issue might be? Thanks, Bobby
