Hi,
I am stuck. I've been trying to get the media player that my friend Mike put
on my computer at the last InstallFest to open, but I don't think I have the
right program to do it. I go to System Profiler and look for a way to open
it there, but it says that I don't have a default application to open the
media center. Was I supposed to go to System Diagnostics instead? Should I
go there anyway? I believe the Linux media center that we burned onto my
computer is called GeeksBox.

Also, in a pure DIY effort, I am still trying to install a Fedora Linux
operating system on my Mac G4 powerbook 10.4. I got some Philips DV +Rs to
burn a copy onto, but my computer spits it out every time I put one of these
discs into it. I've played DVDs on my Mac before - I know I have a drive
that should work for DVDs.

Jerry F.: You had said you'd be willing to help me burn Fedora onto my
computer one day from your office by Riverside on the D (green) line
sometime. Are you still available to help with this? If I get a DVD that
works for burning in my computer, could we set up a time to do the install
of Fedora?

Thanks to ANYONE who can help me with these burning, installation and
program-opening issues.

Cheers,
Caroline
