I don't find hacks with lights and lasers all that interesting, but this one has a few interesting points. Although not mentioned in the videos, this project effectively emulates a cathode ray tube monitor: instead of a scanning electron beam it uses a servo controlled UV laser; instead of a phosphor coated glass tube, it uses phosphorescent paper (I didn't know there was such a thing). It uses this technology to "print" Tweets that fade out in a few seconds. Whatever.
The first video shows the results. The second shows the creator explaining the tech. http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/26/matt-richardson-turns-arduino-twitter-and-lasers-into-art-vide/ -Tom _______________________________________________ Hardwarehacking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/hardwarehacking
