Linux journal article chronicling the steps a retired coder took to come
up to speed with Arduino and build a project:

http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/arduino-teaches-old-coder-new-tricks

It touches on the use of gschem of the gEDA Project
(http://geda-project.org) for schematic capture and PCB design, and PCB
fabrication, in addition to the expected Arduino topics.

I just skimmed the 7 page article, but it looks like it could be useful
if you're getting started with Arduino, or even as a basics of
electronics fabrication tutorial.
