[classlib][lang] unexpected NegativeArraySizeException for java.lang.String(int[], 2, Integer.MAX_VALUE)

I'm going to fix this simple bug in the String class logic.

It doesn't involve a shape change for String so should be
uncontroversial -- but squeal if you object.
