Please share as appropriate. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Doing some research online, I've discovered that, apparently, the Morning Freiheit's office library somehow was deposited at the Bodelian Library of Oxford University, in its Department of Oriental Collections. According to the site[s] listed below, "its reception at the Bodleian was announced in 1989, and, atypically, the books were merged with the existing collection."
Does anyone know why and how it was - if this is indeed the case - the Morning Freiheit's office library ended up not in a New York archive or library, but rather one in Oxford, England? >> Arieh Lebowitz - <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED] <please see website[s] below for details> <http://www.asiamap.ac.uk/collections/collection.php?ID=301&Query=%22Morning+Freiheit+library%22>http://www.asiamap.ac.uk/collections/collection.php?ID=301&Query=%22Morning+Freiheit+library%22 http://www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/dept/oriental/staff.htm =========================================================== Submissions for Ha-Safran, send to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SUBscribing, SIGNOFF commands send to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Questions, problems, complaints, compliments;-) send to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] AJL HomePage http://www.JewishLibraries.org
