An Academic Library Needs Multiple Versions of the Hebrew Bible? ? Presented by Daniel D. Stuhlman A synagogue needs Humashim for the congregation to follow the Torah reading, a student needs commentaries to help understand the text, a scholar needs manuscripts, ancient versions, commentaries, and many modern versions of the texts to help learn the message of the Bible. Time: Sept. 8. 2003 12 noon M.L. King Library on the campus of San Jose State University San Jose, CA. This library just opened Aug 1. It is a cooperative effort between the university and the San Jose Public Library. The lecture is part of the Jewish studies program.
