Michal,

There is no absolute 100% union catalog of all the libraries in the US.
Most libraries that are automated have individual access over the web, or
directly from their campus or institution. But there is nothing that
handles 100% of all cases.

The closest thing that can be found is OCLC's WorldCat. WorldCat has about
40,000,000 bibliographic records and is the shared cataloging source for
thousands of libraries. Not every library in the US (or the world)
catalogs through Worldcat, but the ones that do are marked with a "holdings
symbol" that shows that library owned and cataloged that book. So it is
not exhaustive, but it is pretty good.

The problem is that access to OCLC is not free -- you need to have a
password or similar access to their database.

If you have a title or two, send it to me via email, and I'll check and
see. If you have a lot of titles, then you'll need to go to someplace that
has access to OCLC Worldcat and check through them.

Ted
