Regarding psalms, you could try Hirsch's commentary in English, all the traditional commentaries in Hebrew as well as the midrashim including Midrash Tehillim in Hebrew and Aramaic and the more modern Daat Mikrah put out by Mossad Harav Kook. Shanah Tova to all. Malkah Schweiger
