I'm very concerned about _Katerina_ being recommended for Jewish
children. In this book the child protagonist masquerades as a Christian
during the war. Throughout the book Christianity is portrayed as
spiritually rich and fulfilling. Judaism always comes out hollow,
although at the end of the book the child recognizes her ethnicity.
Jewish children do not need the message in this very, very sad book.
