I should like to bring to your attention a new book containing an early Karaite text. Rabbi Joseph Algamil has just published the book Sefer Otzar Nehmad by the 11th century Karaite scholar from Constantinople, Tobiah b. Moses "the mourner". This previously unpublished work is divided into two parts, on laws and rules of kashrut and on laws of purity and impurity� It was published from the onlyextant copy in the Library of the Oriental Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St Petersburg, MS C116 The book is printed in Hebrew in three volumes. It is available from the publisher, Makhon Tifferet Yosef,POB 11445, Ashdod 77572,Israel. Tel. 972-8-8664491.
