I write to you asking if you would consider a new book entitled
Understanding Information Systems (American Library Association, January
2004) for your library collection.

There are an enormous number of books dealing with information and its
applications. This book differs from others in that it offers an innovative
approach to information studies not oriented to any specific application,
time or technology. There is a compelling need for this type of book
because too many others rapidly lose their relevance.

In particular, Chapter 15: Interpreting Information, contains a discussion
on Jewish numerology (Gematria) as an information system while Chapter 14
discusses music as an information system.

Reviews from American Libraries or Update (NY Academy of Sciences) are
available on request.
Thank you for your consideration.
