Remember how high school and university students would
sign up for "Model United Nations" and play a
make-believe "game" of world politics to try to gain
an appreciation for global issues?

I suppose it only made sense that the cyber-community
would want to replicate that experience in some form
--- and thus we now have the "Jennifer Government :
Nation States" website.

I only just learned today about the site at
http://www.nationstates.net. To date, there are over a
million registered states there (anyone can add a
nation for free).

I added one of the latest states - Republic of
TheJewishPeople (the names "Israel, Yisrael and
Palestine were not allowed by the website). If you go
to the "find Nation" search box at the bottom of the
page and enter "TheJewishPeople" (no spaces), you can
look at my country profile (generated by the system,
in response to a questionnaire I filled out).

Apparently, the site has been used by some teachers as
a teaching tool - see

B'shalom,

Steve
