Career Opportunity:

The Temple Sinai Rabbi Philip N. Kranz Learning Center in Atlanta, GA seeks a full-time director/librarian to create, implement and administrate the programming and operation of our newly renovated and enlarged Learning Center scheduled to open summer 2005. The new Learning Center will be adding a music collection to its current 8,000+ book, video and audio book collections, and will also, for the first time, be open to the community for the checkout of materials.

Duties include collection development, technical services (candidate should be familiar and comfortable using technology – namely, maintaining an online catalog, acquisitions, cataloging, etc.), programming, fundraising, and the supervision/training of staff and volunteers. Individual must be able to balance and coordinate the congregational and community aspects involved in directing this exciting and innovative new library.

Qualifications include a MLS or degree as a school media specialist, a Judaic background and library related experience. Reading knowledge of Hebrew preferable. Salary competitive.
