Hello all, Wow, I never expected to have so many answers waiting for me this morning - but of course nothing less than the best from this list serv!
I think we may have hit on the answer - as we all know, a reference question doesn't always have the right lead info. But it looks like Harriet Lacksten in Sweden has gotten as close as possible to who we are looking for: "There was a Finnish-Swedish jewish composer called Moses Pergament, but he lived 1893-1977. He composed music with Jewish themes as well as some liturgical music." (and I got a quick lesson in Finnish Jewish history, lol). Thank you very much to everyone who took the time and contributed! all the best, Talya Pardo Librarian Solomon Schechter Academy 514-485-0866 http://atarnet.bjeckesher.org/ca/ssa Messages and opinions expressed on Hasafran are those of the individual author and are not necessarily endorsed by the AJL =========================================================== Submissions for Ha-Safran, send to: Hasafran @ lists.acs.ohio-state.edu SUBscribing, SIGNOFF commands send to: Listproc @ lists.acs.ohio-state.edu Questions, problems, complaints, compliments;-) send to: galron.1 @ osu.edu Ha-Safran Archives: Current: http://www.mail-archive.com/hasafran%40lists.acs.ohio-state.edu/maillist.html History: http://www.mail-archive.com/hasafran%40lists.acs.ohio-state.edu/history.html AJL HomePage http://www.JewishLibraries.org
