I do not mean to underestimate the possible difficulties of defining Jewish, but if there really can be no basic working definition or standards of what is Jewish, Judaica, etc. for the AJL, what is to stop the AJL from recommending, and even giving awards to, so-called Messianic Jewish literature? (Just to be clear: I am not a Messianic Jew and would not support this.)
