Interesting dilemma, Don. One I haven't heard of
before.

According to the Jewishstore website -
http://www.jewishstore.com/Software/EncyJudaica.htm -
EJ does run on XP, as well as Windows 95/98/ME/2000.
Perhaps they are misinformed.

They added an odd note, though :

"The Encyclopaedia Judaica CD-ROM does not function
properly if your computer has more than 512MB of RAM.
If your computer has more than that amount, you will
need to reconfigure the memory to address only 512MB
of your available RAM each time that you run the
program."

I have heard of minimum memory requirements, but
MAXIMUM memory requirements? What the heck is that all
about?
