For something I'm writing - I'm wondering whether anyone knows the
origin of the phrase 'the people of the book'? I see online that it
was a phrase that Muhammad used about both Jews and Christians and it
referred specifically to one book, the Torah. Anyone know anything
more about it? Was Muhammad the first to use the phrase?
