Dear Heather There are many books on Jewish themes that do not get the promotion or distribution that they deserve because they are published on limited budgets by small publishers or by self-publication. Jewish Libraries should encourage such publishers and writers by drawing attention to those books, many of which are worthy of a wider audience. What better place to start than to allocate a section to lesser known books and invite recommendations. A classic example of one such neglected book was Henry Roth's "Call it Sleep" which has since been regarded as one of the greatest American novels of the twentieth century.
